I love it when stuff like this happens the day before a gig.

Just don't glue your fingers together. It's been done.

yes. super glue. what it was made for actually. one coat to close. then two more coats for playing. NuSkin kinda works, but not as good. Wears too quick against the strings.

Only thing I suggest, and this is gonna sound borderline tin-foil-hat crazy, but get real brand superglue, the knockoff stuff I don't trust for some reason, for this application.

pics or it didn't happen...but seriously super glue for real. a friend of mine sliced the tip of his finger almost off with a hedge trimmer, and played guitar that night with a superglued finger.

Wow... didn't know this was an actual option, lol.

I'll run to the store tomorrow morning and pick up some superglue.

Burns like hell, but definitely works.

Krazy Glue brand is the way to go.

was this on your finger picking hand? frickin' brutal either way. I've badly smashed my fingers before shows and what not... If its finger picking hand, I've learned the importance of learning to finger pick with a variety of fingers, that really helps in situations like this.

Luckily (maybe no so much, lol) it's the index finger on my fretting hand. Still a bitch, but not too bad.

Found some superglue lying around the house... glued the cut... waiting for tomorrow.

Thanks guys.

Last May, I cut the fleshy tips off 2 fingers on my fretting hand. It was at my daughters birthday party. Nary an impolite word escaped my lips. But inside my head.... Hoo Whee it was nasty.

take a tube to the gig with you as well, in case you need to do a touch up. But yes Crazy glue is the stuff.
I cut my thumb a little over 2 weeks ago, and thanks to good ol Crazy Glue, closed the cut right up, and it has healed nicely now. You can hardly even tell where it was now, and it was da*mn near needing stitches. I was leaking all over the place.
Crazy Glue = win

I did this once on my fret hand thumb. I used 10 stitches to hold it together while I played. And another time (alcohol involved) I shot a staple through my fret hand middle knuckle. Right at the base on the palm. I couldn't move my middle finger for over a month, and when I played it looked like I was flipping everyone off. Man, that one hurt. And then there was this other time........

Ron Scarpa superglued part of his heel back on during the original ESPN eXtreme games (prior to Xgames rename) in the final rounds of barefoot waterski jump competition. Seriously, the stuff works.

Can I see the MSDS for the Krazy Glue? Particularly, the page for applying it to a wound?

We might have to revoke some licenses around hurr...
