So I lost to a tire swing.

So ever so gracefully fell out of a tire swing managing to get my arm caught in the chain. So while I'm hanging there by my arm while its slowly dying and all i can think is how sore in going to be tomorrow I got it going pretty high and so i fell probably 6 feet while getting my arm yanked. Just one of life's little reminders that I'm not as nimble as I used to be.

That's what you get for having a "safe" looking tire swing.

Tire swings are meant to be big dangerous things with metal lining sticking out, frayed ropes and cracking branches!

That sucks!! I took a good flop on a dirt bike a few years ago. That was my slap in the face that I'm no longer young and durable

I was wound up & spun by my sister in a tire swing once (I was 8), and spun so fast I couldn't even see that I had inadvertently kicked my cousin Jason in the side of the arm / body (he foolishly walked towards the tire, curious, age 5) and sent him flying a good 12-15 feet before I stopped. Kid was real banged up. Nevermind the fact that I somehow projectile puked a bit, radially, during the experience, and don't remember it.

Haven't been on one since. Never again.

Yeah that's kinda what it was for me, I mean I'm not really all that old but I've been really hard on my body and now its coming back to get me.

A story like that and all you got is a still-life shot? Where's the carnage?

Wait, why were you on a canary-yellow tire swing, again?

Also, take care of that arm.

I was once using a normal rope swing at a lake, and when I jumped off, the little smaller rope attached to the real rope (in order to retrieve the rope easier) wrapped around my leg about an inch from my manhood, and gave me a huge, nasty rope burn.

I feel your pain.

The shower floor whooped me slightly this morning- got in too quick, hit a soapy spot & BAM. I got up though- it's still lying there.

I've come home from work with two lovely knife cuts on my fingers, and I didn't even feel them happen. That's the upside of working with very sharp knives - it doesn't hurt as much when you cut yourself...

There's the problem. A couple of beers and you would have been more relaxed. You probably would have just flopped limply on the ground and not gotten caught by the chain.
