So I saw "Insidious" last night...

better than I had expected. I thought that it was going to be a gory bloodfest full of the usual tricks but it was actually quite good. In fact it was nearly bloodless but rated reeeeally high on the creepy factor in spite of a somewhat corny plot...
It reminded me of a sort of "Poltergeist" take 2.

Anyone else here see it yet?

No. I think we're going to give Winnie the Pooh a try tonight though.

I haven't seen it, but I always appreciate it when someone can put out a good old-fashioned thriller without all the blood and gore.

The whole torture porn thing being passed off as "horror" has been way past overdone, IMHO.

Yeah the music was also really well done as well, definitely added to the suspense and whatnot.

I watched Caddyshack last night.

Better than a number of movies I've seen in recent years.

"Young man...outa nowhere....Cinderella story....."

Caddyshack, and the Blues Brothers.

Take the whole rest of my movie collection away, but if you touch either of those we're gonna have trouble.

The little WW2 kid is the creepiest part, IMO.

Loved it. I loved the complete lack of gore. It's what I like my horror movies to be.

Didn't like the ending, though.

Movies just don't scare me, I guess because I know they're just 'movies'.

This movie scared the sh*t out of me.

When my girlfriend was getting her make-up on, Tiny Tim's Tiptoe Through the Tulips came on the television. She almost passed a brick.

I made my wife scream the other night. She was in bed and I crept into the room and started dancing all weird and singing that.
She screamed.

Couches are really comfortable if you have a sleeping bag handy.

That song can be unnerving on it's own, without having it as part of a horror movie that someone has seen.

Thw wife and I watched it last night. I thought it was a VERY pleasant change from most "horror" movies made these days. I thought it had a genuine creepy feeling to it.
