yeah, I've been contemplating piercing my tongue for a few months now.
I've researched all the risks and how to care for them, and I'd be going to an APP certified piercer for them (yes, two).
I'd like to get something like this:

As long as you can take the pain (they are, by reputation, the most painful of body piercings), and you truly want it...go for it.
Though really...the only reason you get a tongue piercing is for reasons we can't discuss here at TB...

I just don't have any cash right now, so any piercings I want will have to wait.

I'm going to be selling an old amp head (Carvin RL1000) on ebay as soon as my dad gets back from Vegas (should be in a few days).

The worst part of getting mine was having to rinse my mouth with Listerine Gold after anything went in my mouth. That stuff is awful.
I got mine back in college while I was working at a help desk for a business class ISP. I made sure to get it done one evening after work prior to the weekend so I'd have time to heal, but I got called in the next day. My supervisor still tells the story of me trying to talk people through IP networking and routing problems with a freshly pierced tongue. |

For me, the tongue piercing is the only piercing that I didn't feel. Even a wimpy piercing like the eyebrow, at least I felt it just a little bit (like plucking an eyebrow hair) but the tongue was ridiculously easy.
Venoms are hot. You are just going to have sooo much fun with two 3/4" barbells in your mouth at the same time during healing. Just be careful about your teeth and stuff during the time you have to wear the longer ones and downsize as soon as you can. |

Its up their with the nape for ease of peircing. Had it done a bunch of times and multiples (although, mine were vertical not horizontal) and such. Definately worth while, and the surprise when people finally notice the bunch of metal around there was always kinda fun. Also, please, for your teeth's sake, go to something not metal for the "bead" ASAP... I dont like plastic peircings, and the stainless is SO much better, but its seriously not worth it in this case. (well, IMO)
Is a venom that the girl at the start of the thread had? I can never keep up with what these get called... Kids these days... |

And I was always told any piercing/tattoo where there tends to be more muscle than fat, tends to cause more pain...and the toungue is 100% muscle.

Also, find a better picture OP.
It's obviously photoshopped on and positioned incorrectly. |
