Sure. Because my tastes are different than yours, it means I have something stuck up my ass.

Why you get worked up about this is a mystery to me.
the point is........if you were offered to get rich from selling your soul, would you?

Moreover if I had a dime for every time I heard the phrase "Jim, nobody cares", "who cares", "who gives a ****, it's not even worth it anyways", well, you'd know the conclusion.

Why do people cut themselves short so often and then praise an Asian man doing a funny dance walking around a bunch of random places in a flambouyant suit, with a basic cheezy four-to-the-flour beat?

Is it fair to say the writer of it, got rich and sold his soul?

I think the western hemisphere is fascinated with Asian culture and the people that live there. How many men talk about or have talked about their infatuation with females of Asia? How many people do you know that like to watch Anime? It was the hot iron that struck at the right time. Social media has allowed for people to become overnight sensations. You should be happy for his success rather than disgruntled by it.

Truth be told, it doesn't matter. His music does not impact your life or my life unless you are seeking it out. It is a dance song that people have gravitated towards. Remember Antoine Dodson? He had a hit song, unintentionally.

I am really not sure of the premise of your thread. It feels like you are trying to get people to agree with you, and then bash anyone that doesn't. If music had as much of an impact as people think, we would all be on trial for this rock and roll devil music that we keep playing.

First off, I never said I was a clubber or whatever, I've made plenty of mention I was into all sorts of obscure music. So you're wrong out of the gate. Congrats.

2nd, I got cheezed off when I brought this up, and it's really surprizing/interesting that nobody really has anything to say "who gives a ****" when the fact is, it's not just one guy out of korea, that anyone can do some silly **** and make a buck, yet they complain about not being able to, discrediting some bull**** like this because "it's not me", "it's not my tastes". Wow, so you make art, and then criticize art for being famous because since you can't connect with it, it holds no pertainence to your life?

Real professional.

You know nothing of my tastes in music, but if that's what you gotta tell yourself to feel superior to people you don't know nor haven't ever met, continue to do so.

I could keep a file of things I'm accused of saying.

For those who don't know the history of the Guinness World Records...

On 4 May 1951, Sir Hugh Beaver, then the managing director of the Guinness Breweries,[5] went on a shooting party in the North Slob, by the River Slaney in County Wexford, Ireland. He became involved in an argument over which was the fastest game bird in Europe, the koshin golden plover or the grouse. That evening at Castlebridge House, he realised that it was impossible to confirm in reference books whether or not the golden plover was Europe's fastest game bird.[6][7] Beaver knew that there must be numerous other questions debated nightly in pubs throughout Ireland, but there was no book in the world with which to settle arguments about records. He realised then that a book supplying the answers to this sort of question might prove popular.

Thank you, Sir Hugh Beaver

I'm hoping there is sarcasm somewhere in there. Otherwise you really contradict yourself... a lot.

I'm not sure what any of this has to do with what he was saying. I might be missing something.

I am requoting myself here for validity. Where did I call you a clubber?

Why is it impossible for you to fathom that a guy can make a poppy song, that people like all over the world?

Michael Jackson must seem mind boggling to you.

I didn't make any criticisms of the song. I think you have me confused with someone else. I am not sure what you are reaching for here.

Further more, why should people be engaged with this song? So what, you think the song sucks? You think it's good? Great. Your opinion. People can have differing opinions. Again, I am not sure why you started this thread. Are you trying to make people aware of the song? Are you trying to make people gang up against the song? Why is this song worth so much energy? You have me intrigued now.
