So my car got key'd...

I wish I could understand what goes through peoples minds when they decide "Hey, I'm gonna pull my key out and **** with this guy's car". I just can't come up with a conclusion.

That happened to my truck while I was at work a few months ago.

Can't really complain though, it bought me my new rig!

Sorry to hear that man. I know if someone did that to my car I would be hunting them down for a serious ass whooping.

I just accept the fact that there are a certain percentage of **** wads running around who could potentially break or steal my stuff or even a few truly sick **** heads who might wish to hurt me or my family just for the fun of it.

I don't own any material objects that I can't afford to replace or do without, and I and my daughter take martial arts lessons. I know that it's a pessimistic view of society that it's necessary to live like this but I stand by it. I also don't think there are very many people reading this who live in as crappy a neighborhood as I do.

In the neighborhood I used to live in people were constantly messing with my car. Toothpaste, gum, weird brown goo (poo?), milkshake, soda, anything and everything. They even siphoned my gas before I got a lock-cap.

On my new car, someone had stolen the chrome tire stem caps the second week I owned it. And I'm 99.9% sure that it happened at the parking garage at work, only employees parked on that level. Some people are just F'n petty.

Of course the worse part about getting keyed is that you have to see it every time you approach your car. The first scratch I got on the new car I was enraged. No one else will regularly notice it, but I see it every time.

Electrify the body of the car so it knocks them on their butt.

Don't let the idea of people having opposable thumbs and calvin klein underwear fool you. Most people (and it seems to be getting worse) are really stupid, stupid animals who seek immediate gratification and only demonstrate what I call "incremental thinking." I.e., they only think 1 minute ahead (sometimes less) and never consider others, or the result of their actions.

I remember hearing about someone who did that, they hooked up the body of the car to the mains or something, but they ended up getting taken to court over it (dont know if it is true or not)

Yeah, get insurance money and buy yourself a rig, and spend ten dollars on touch up paint.

How did you work that one? No need to be defense, just asking. You paid your insurance bill after all.

My insurance company sent me a check. I spent it how I wanted.

I will lose that value when I sell my truck, but that's acceptable to me.

This happened to me too. I took a PSP player away from some students in class, and they decided to get back at me by keying my car.

Mine is from wheel to wheel on the drivers side. It happened two days apart.

+1 or contacted the authorities, and pressed charges against the little turd.

I worked at a toy store this past xmas season and some lady parked extremely close to my car and put a good sized dent in the door, I witnessed the whole thing, and she ignored me when I tried to get her attention, when she came out (after I was long gone) she was welcomed by her mirror ripped off and her door was kicked in. I would have been content if she appologized after it happened but her ignoring me is what made me loose my cool.
