I've talked with mechanic buddies of mine and they intimate that even BMW isn't what they were, bullet-proof wise, but of those three marques, your best bet. Personally, I'd go Volvo.

The 335 is a blast to drive and is the car of choice if you want women to look at you and say "there goes a mid-life crisis". Red, black top, tan leather--gorgeous. Sounds like an old muscle car. Hugs the road.
The 550 looks very distinguished but it will fly. Probably accelerates better than the beamer. And it feels like your sitting still going through 100. Doing 55 is painful.
That's my take. Depends on what you're after. I have no Audi experience but I've never understood why anyone would call a car a TT. Maybe tinkle, whiz or leak, but not TT. |

The Audi's don't really get interesting until you get into the A-8, the TT, and that monster coupe they just put out. The A-6 is a nice car. It handles really well, and even though they repowered it, I still feel it's underpowered for it's size. Now the 'S' series are monsters that would wreck that Beamer. I've personally driven every Audi there is, including that new LeMans looking coupe (it didn't have badges or a name at the time that I drove it and I'm too lazy to look it up) and the A-6 is the most unimpressive of the lot. If you're not considering the 'S-6', hell an 'S-4' would be better than a stock A-6, then I would go with the BMW. |

Audi is supposed to offer more rear passenger and trunk space (i have not checked the latest model), so I'd say it's "family's pick". The Mercedes is somehow in the middle, but I don't like its handling and it looks built "cheaper" than a BMW to me.
Regarding Infinity, I cannot comment, but all the high end japanese cars I've tested are assemble perfectly. The problem I have with them, it's that they look passion-less, kind of boring.... (i am sure I've just made some friends here...)

All my friends with Mercedes spend more time at the repair shop getting this little whatever fixed. No experience with Audi.
I work for a German company that gives me a car allowance and "strongly suggested" an Audi or Mercedes SUV.....so I got a Honda Pilot instead. |

Those cars are the best.
A6 looks nice, but is underpowered. I would personally go with an S-6, but they are a lot more money.
