There was a guy with no legs that insisted on riding the biggest Roller Coaster in the park even though park staff advised against it. He fell out and died.

Sgt. James Hackemer, amputee veteran, thrown from Ride of Steel coaster in Darien Lake Theme Park & Resort and killed - NYPOST.com

sounds like a mixture of pride on one end, stupidity on the other, and not a whole lot of common sense anywhere in the middle. Truly tragic and unnecessary.

I cannot imagine how hard it is to come to terms with limitations on physical freedoms or whatever, but man, he shoulda known better than to even get on that ride.

those park operators were not doing their job, even in the slightest for this to be remotely possible. Gross negligence and disgusting tragedy.

If they said no, multi-million dollar discrimination lawsuit. They said yes, multi-million dollar wrongful death lawsuit.

Lose/lose either way for Six Flags. Too bad he made the wrong choice.

I doubt it... The rules were clear. You must have two legs and a certain height to ride it...

Well, nothing really surprises me on US legal system, but if the rules are written like they're supposed to, a slim chance of that.

Maybe we should invent some sorta special harness for people with no legs.

Then Six Flags would be a no leg friendly park.
