I just got fed up with Outlook. It greyed out for no reason again, saying my copy isn't legit (which it is). So now I'm going to try out Thunderbird. Any other experiences with email programs?

Yes, because with multiple accounts for everything (school account, work account, dutracing account, personal account, house account, etc.) it's easier to have all your emails in one place instead of having to visit every bloody website.

I use Outlook at work, because I have to. I've used Thunderbird in the past, and liked it, but now I just use the web...

Gmail allows you to send emails from different accounts. If you enter your school email account details, for example, you can choose to send emails from gmail using your school's email address and servers. As for receiving, just have every email you have automatically delegate all incoming emails to gmail, and apply gmail labels to categorize them.

In the end, you can check your every email at home, at work etc via browser. Not to say that gmail has a great spam filter that applies to all your accounts this way.

I just use Gmail. I used to use Outlook, but because I did POP3, it wouldn't update when I read the email in Outlook, so if I went to check my email on Gmail when I was away from my computer, it would be full of emails I already read. So now I just use Gmail. I'm quite specific about how I sort my email lol...though they have IMAP now which syncs the mail for you.
