Not directly bass gear per say, but I got a Focusrite VRM (Virtual Referencing Monitor). Very much looking forward to getting it hooked up and seeing if I can get my mixes to sound better :-)

It isn't really a toy, but I was given a reunion blues continental gig bag.

I dont really get any gear for Christmas. And is not for lack of trying either. I've been asking for a SanAmp bass drivers for 3 years now.

I suppose it's just as well. I'm the kind of person which prefers to pick out my own gear anyway.

I got a new Fender Precision bass! Both a Christmas and birthday present. I aboslutely love this thing!! If anyone's curious to see it, here's me testing it out. (hope it's not considered spam, sorry if it is).

Fender Precision Bass test - YouTube

As for a non bass related present, I just got a new Xbox headset.

I didn't get a any gear, but I'm not disappointed. There was nothing I needed or even wanted (I know, I know, that's against TB policy... ).

However, I did get two bass-related stocking stuffers. One is a black t-shirt that says "got bass guitar" (glad it said bass guitar, otherwise everyone would have assumed I fish!). The other is kind of cool. It's a bracelet made out of bass strings. I'm not a jewelry guy, but there are times when that could be a cool thing to wear.

My 'little' brother got me an original Ghostbusters Proton Pack and Trap toys

Got some money to put towards a lens from the folks. Sadly (well, maybe not so sadly), not suffering from much bass gear GAS at the moment!

I got the Bass Guitar For Dummies book, and a string winder with a built in string cutter. I asked for both

As far as non-bass-related gifts go, I got a ukulele, a Soda Stream and a skeleton adult romper suit! Awesome!

Korg chromatic tuner

I haven't had a tuner since my last one broke about 5 years ago, so this will definitely come in handy.

also got some DR black beauties (my favorite strings )

Nothing. I have most everything I want and anything I might be interested is too obscure, too expensive, or too specific for anyone in my family to find or purchase.

Sounds like some good gifts guys. Just got lucky and was told my wife would match some money on a new amp/cab set up. Pretty exciting Christmas so far.
