soda of choice?

im a sort of soda connoisseur. i dont drink alcohol of any sorts, so the time spent finding ones favorite beer, liquor or wine was spent finding my favorite sodas.

personally, i like sprite, orange crush and mr pibb, as well as aldi brand knock offs of all 3 of those. ill only drink root beer if it came from a glass bottle.

so please, share with me your soda's of choice

note: diet was not included because 1. diet soda is stupid (if you're on a diet.. drink water), 2. diet soda is gross and causes holes in your brain

I'm not a big fan of sodas as they usually contain enormous amounts of sugar, so I voted for bacon.

Anyway, when I pick up a soda it's mostly a light cola.

I respectfully disagree. I'm a Coke addict (the soda, of course) and five years ago I switched to Coke Light when entered a (successful) diet. I hated it in the beginning, but in the end I got so used to it that now the regular Coke is the one that tastes weird to me. Switched again to Coke Zero as soon as it was released in my country and have no plans to return to regular Coke (and I'm not on a diet anymore).

I also must say that the best non-black soda to me has always been Fanta. Unfortunately it is not available anymore in my country. Crush is the brand that supposedly replaced it and it is my current favorite non-black soda, but it's still way below Fanta.

if i drink diet soda, all i can taste is aspertame, and that stuff makes me sick to my stomach. but i understand.

i find that orange soda is like wine. everyone has a specific favorite, and the differences are all about nuance. fanta, crush, sunkist, as well as all the store brands out there. they are all just a little different.

The key is the sugar. It's cane sugar, not corn syrup.

Ah, yes. I'm old enough to remember when the U.S. Coca-Cola was made with cane sugar as well. I do miss it.

no no.. not mt dew drinkers.. just the poison itself. i have a long history with mt dew. pretty much burnt myself out on it, and now it makes me sick. doesnt even taste good anymore. blech.

I rarely drink soda - we call it pop around here. When I do, it's Coke - fountain only. No cans or bottles. Usually at a gig or with a Jimmy John's sandwich.
