There's a large display sign outside of out Town Hall, and this morning it were announcing that voter registration would be happening next Tuesday. It got me thinking about it. Now, even though I live here I'm not a US citizen, I'm still a citizen of Canada. And no, I will NOT get into the reasons why I'm not a US citizen, that's too political and against the rules. But my curiousity has been piqued by that voter registration sign. I won't do it, because it's illegal, could and would in all probability threathen my residency status, and besides too many people know me here. But what if I were to go to another town, register to vote, and voted illegally, would anyone ever find out? Do they check your credentials? Like I said I won't do it, but I'm just curious to know.
Mods, if you think this is too political, then go ahead and delete this thread. I'm just curious, that's all.

At least you are breathing and thinking. You can probably answer some basic questions about the requirments and responsibilities of the office being contested. That's more than can be said for many who vote in the US today. God only knows how many votes are cast because the voter's favorite _________ supported the candidate.

Kidding aside, probably not the best idea. I don't know if they check for citizenship status when you register. My guess is that they probably do not.

It would probably turn out bad for you if you were to register, vote, and get caught. You could be deported to New Jersey. (J/K)
