..about posting a thread on TB while sitting in the middle of the woods deer hunting as the coyotes are cutting loose with their morning howl all around me. Definitely something weird about that.. but I still love my iPhone.

so far I've seen a doe a/ fawn and an 8 point buck that was immature. I think I got some good photos of the buck. I'll post when I can get them transferred. I'm using a Remington 700 BDL in .30-06 with Federal Fusion ammo. I really need a better scope on it but this one will get the meat in the freezer.. or at least it has in the past.

Hog season over, or are you just tired of eating pork?

You should totally make one of those "I found the internet" commercials while you're out there. That would be hilarious.

I don't do any hog hunting here during deer season.

Edit: there is no hog season though. Because they are not a native species and because they do so much damage to farms and ecosystems they are legal to hunt all year around. If you're on private land you don't even have to have a hunting license to hunt hogs.

Actually, just noticed that there is an app called iHunt available for the iphone. You can hunt deer, pheasant, and clay pigeons (but those aren't such good eatin').

And watch out for those giant feral hogs! (Been watching Monster Quest. Look out for the danged chupacabras, too!)

Well, you have to marinate 'em a real long time.

No, man. I'm telling you, its the chupacabra! They heard there was no season on giant feral hogs and decided they were tired of goats.
