Sound Issue

I bough a new HP laptop at the start of the semester, it's great and everything but when u change the sound (pressure sensitive slider) it makes a really annoying beep to indicate the sound change. This beep stays on WAY after you take your finger off the slider and it's REALLY annoying. Is there anyway to turn this beep off or mute it somehow??

You have to disable it in the BIOS, it is not a Windows sound.

If you don't know how to do that, buy a computer-savvy friend a beer in exchange for five minutes of his/her time.
