I visited South Africa for two weeks this summer. A great trip but all the walls and fences around homes freaked me out.

If you like Hamburgers, check out Steers...the food is pretty good!

South Africa has a really great music scene and excellent music education. You may find a great teacher at the school you will be attending. Check out the local newspapers, and check out the clubs. The level of bass playing in RSA is fantastic!

Be careful with your gear. Violent crime is very bad there. Know the lay of land before you go anywhere with your bass.
