Ironically, the chinese themselves are HORRIBLE about racial jokes and references. When I was teaching at a small college there the college would have a daily radio show that was broadcast on loud speakers to the whole school. It was not uncommon for them to tell ethnic jokes making fun of chinese minorities such as the Hui and Uyghurs on this broadcast. This kind of thing is very open and common in China.

Now if that happened to the US team, there would be a lot of fines and suspensions for the NBA season.
I'm trying to say that with the American media and strict rules, anyone who gets caught will be properly punished and/or scapegoated. Many times, the players who do get caught doing wrong get scapegoated quite harshly, especially if the media is all over them. |

Saying this I wouldn't have thought such a high profile team such as the USA would be stupid enough to officially publish such a picture. |

I know that in international soccer, a racist comment will automatically get you red carded and your home country won't put up with it either.
