Special shoes for playing bass
I was looking at a thread in the bass guitar section and an ad came up that said "Bass shoes on sale." I thought it was funny. So what kind of shoes are best for metal? Steel toed boots of course.

It sounds stupid but I have a pair of lucky shoes I wear to gigs. It's goofy but whatever

Victor Wooten's shoes. How do you think he manages to lean like he does?

I prefer boots with a good heel. It makes it easier for me to tap out the time.

I prefer lightweight shoes on stage. Sometimes I'll wear flip flops at rehearsal, but it makes my pedalboard more difficult to manage.

flip flops. and for a big gig converse

I wore boots a couple times....but I wouldn't get past the first set without swimming in them.
I now just go with converse or dress shoes. I got a nice pair of Italian style shoes. Made in Turkey. Speaking of which, everything I wear thats Turkish is nice quality.
Crocs and flip flops are a no no for ashy feet. I gave the BL such a hard time one tour.
" Any new songs Ashy??"

Depending on the venue and the weather, I go barefoot. Or sock foot (they never match and they're the wildest, craziest socks I can find - usually something in an outlandish neon pattern). For locations where shoes are a must, then I have to wear shoes that go with the bass I'm playing and I make a statement with them.

After a gig once, there was a pimp...Tall one too. In...I'm being honest here...checkered Lime green and lemon yellow.
Everything was checkered. Down to the Staceys. And it was cut so well that the checkered pattern on the bottom of the coat matched the pattern on his pants.
The damn little squares lined up!
And let me tell you, if I got paid real money that gig, I would have tested out some of the product he was selling that night! Hubba hubba!

I thought the floor had a special cutout and the shoes had a matching notch or something..

As a boomer I would like to apologize to Milennials for my stinky feet. Sorry
"You know my python boot ie too tight
I couldn't get it off last night
A week went by and now it's July
I finally got it off and my girlfriend cried
