Spinners............

Sign in to disble this ad
Do you prefer them spinning while the vehicle is stopped OR stopped while the vehicle is moving??

I'm really thinking about getting (renting) a set for my old Wagoneer. I just need to find some with holes for the front hubs to fit through

I prefer to not use them and leave my car's dignity intact.

Depends on how old they are, whether they are Amish, and whether they are spinning silk or wool.

Yeah, dude....don't do it. Spinners are so '03. Don't make your classic a has-been..

Do real 3 pc. spokes. Classier. Either that, or some real nice alloy 5 spokes...maybe a custom grille. Powdercoat safari rack.

But no spinners. Please.

With my new tires, I would need beadlocks on my spinners. Between that and the front manual locking hubs clearance, I'm begining to thing spinners might not be an option

If I put spinners on my Jeep, my wife probably wouldn't ride with me

This is my old show car: A 2000 Crown Vic on 24" DUB esinem's (they stay still while the car moves).... I made a lot of money off her at contests before I sold it, the guy I sold it to still runs it around town.

My honest opinion: Don't get rims... Cops love them and they are expensive.

When I look back I have to ask myself what the heck I was thinking.. I had fun though.

It's probably one of the biggest "look at me" wastes of money I've seen. Might as well get "lambo doors" that only go up 45 degrees, fake vents that are obviously applied with 3m double sided sticky tape on the fender, a stereo that can only produce bass and treble frequencies(my dog loves those!), a leopard print steering wheel cover, candy paint(applied from a spray can directly over rippled bondo), and tint so dark you can't even see out. If you have any outstanding body work and engine problems, don't worry about that stuff just yet.

Half the spinner wheels are big pieces of crap anyways with a HUGE markup. My brother-in-law works at a wheel/tire shop and he just loves selling those things. We're talking $800 sets of rims selling for $2000-3000. Nice profit. And in six months, when the spinners stop working right, you'll be stuck with some pretty retarded looking cheapass wheels.

Are you sure it's your car's dignity that's at stake?

But they gotta spin at all times (except when your car is parked in the driveway)!

I love it when someone has a set of spinners and one stops when the vehicle stops, and the other three are still going.
