Is anyone else really excited about this game? The super-long videos are all over Youtube, but here are some nice-looking screen shots.

They announced a release date the other day - Sep. 7th.

I've been waiting a long time. Glad they finally set a release date.

Its looks like a game that will start off fun... but then just kind of get boring.

What is there to do after you've explored the planets? Start over with a different creature?

That's the thing. Every planet is made by someone else, so there's going to be endless planets with different ecosystems all interacting with each other. At least in theory.

Supposedly it's going to be hitting some consoles too...my pc sucks, so I'll wait for those.

I've only heard of the Mac/PC version and then two super-stripped down versions for the DS and mobile phone (oddly enough). The DS version will have only the creature building and then phone version will only be the "amoeba" stage or whatever they're calling it.

A Wii version would be sweet, but it looks like the graphics are a little beyond Nintendo's league.
