Gave up on hearing good news about the economy. Finally broke down and just bought a new car. (the old wagon has almost a 100,000 miles on it).
It arrived this week: a shiny meteor grey 2011 Audi A5 coupe.
been raining so a stock photo must do for now:
Fast, nimble, and (with snow tires ) can handle the 20 miles of soon-to-be snow-covered country roads to our home.
I'm pretty sure that my Bergantino 1x12's will just make it into the trunk. The AI Clarus goes anywhere. Guess an Accugroove El Whappo is no longer in my plans.
So are you putting off getting that new ride or giving in? Hows your "consumer confidence"? |

I thought it was so you could pass snacks to someone in the trunk since there's no room in back seat for actual people.
both rear seat backs go down too so you can put a decent amount of gig bags in there. |

Here's hoping your Bergantino cabs fit! If not you can sell them to me and get some Schroeders. (JK )
I have noticed, in my cars, a couple of gig bags can rest nicely over the passenger seat. Quote:

The used market here was pretty bogus and financing terms seemed pretty decent. So I "gave in".
(Full hours at the shop this winter = BIG sigh of relief.)

Plus, I'm hoping to move up from the rental market into the homeowner market and want to avoid any decreases on my buying power that a car note would bring.
Closing in on 200K on my 20+ year old car. Knocking on wood that the rust will hold it together for another year or two.

i had to consider the gear thing when i got a new car, so i bought one of the new STi hatchbacks. works great! hehe.

The trunk will hold numerous amps and soft bass cases. The back seat will hold up to a 6x10. The front can hold another 4x10 or smaller. That Audi isn't much different in size, maybe a bit smaller, but you shouldn't have a problem. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
