St pattys day beer thread!

Why not.

I decided to get interesting for once and get Dos Equis amber. What do you have?

gjbassist 03-17-2013 11:06 AM

I'll be drinking a few Blue Moon Valencia Grove Amber later today. Especially since I'm on vacation this coming week!:bassist:
Unless I decide to go out to a jam tonight at a local club then it will probably be Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat.

They sell other beers than Guinness on St Patty's day?

Those are so good!

And sorry pacman! Have mercy on my soul!

Nothing too special on tap, I'm afraid.

I'm usually good for stocking something interesting, but,
all I have in my fridge now is a coupla Sams. Not that there's anything wrong with a cold Sam Adams.

It has been a very uncelebratory weekend for us. Might not even pop them open.

Cooking Irish Beef stew with Guinness as a base.

Right? Almost as much as thinking Killian's is Irish beer :rollno:

arbitrary 03-17-2013 05:57 PM

I went with Guinness last night and Smithwicks today.

You mean it's not?

[I looked it up, and it sounds like it hasn't been *Irish* for about 60 years.]

I'd still rather drink a Killians on tap than any U.S. domestic brand beer.

I went to BevMo! looking for an Irish Red, and they only had two in the store. One was a six-pack of Killian's, and the other was a four-pack of something I hadn't heard of. :(
So I ended up with the Killian's.

Have you been to Ireland? About 18 years ago, from what I saw, the two most popular beers there by far were Guinness and Budweiser. Yes, Budweiser. I'm not sure that authenticity is what it's cracked up to be.
