I could see that too, both shows ran at the same period on different networks back in the day.

Also, you HAVE to see this fan film, Star Trek vs Batman, just HILARIOUS!!!

I love how even after taking a severe beating, Captain Kirk only seemed to bleed from a small cut on his lip.

I love the double-handed back thump. It was a goto move for Captain James T. Kirk.

Kirk was also the master of the shoulder roll. Sometimes his stunt double does easier work than he does.

Star Trek not Star Wars, Yoda.

I just watched "Spectre of The Gun" today. Lots of fisticuffs at the OK Corral.

My favorite was that bizarre double footed kick thing Kirk would do.

Utterly ineffective in real life, but just dripping with awesome on TV.

I liked the "drop to the ground and kick the guy over your head while doing a backward somersault" thing.

I love how they kind of invented their own version of martial arts. The super duper future martial arts that looks oddly like a blend between synchronized swimming and line-dancing.

The musical score was a key ingredient for Star Trek. You could always tell what was happening just by listening.

Okay, this is embarassing to admit, but that move actually showed up in several playground fights at my elementary school.

If you go back and watch the episodes with just alitle extra attention its not all that hard to pick out the body doubles.

Sadly, I know that you are right.

I was forced by my older brother to watch Star Trek. Not that I didn't enjoy it, but it was the principle of the situation.
