I cant wait - it seems like it could be a breath of fresh air into one of the oldest and greatest TV/movie sagas. I like their pick of actors too - the guy from Heros as Spock is an excellent choice IMO |

It may be a great film , with stunning acting...but it ain't Star Trek.
(IMO as always).

There have been movies I've said I wanted to see in theater, but never made it out to the theater...but Star Trek is definitely one that I will see.

The reason all the next generation stuff was good is cause they cut the cheese and amped up the sci-fi....looks like they are about to cut the cheese and amp up the action this time....and as much as I hate to admit it I'm pretty excited about seeing the original star trek sans pixelated/fireworks explosions and stale sets/costumes.
...it also looked like the Q where involved from the trailer |

I hope not.

But because it does have the Trek name attached, its going to suck. Nothing about that trailer made me think 'Trek' about it. I was not feeling it at all.
