Hope all that eye candy has a decent story to illustrate. I'm sure I'll find out next May.

defintely going to rock! I cant wait - it seems like it could be a breath of fresh air into one of the oldest and greatest TV/movie sagas. I like their pick of actors too - the guy from Heros as Spock is an excellent choice IMO

I may have to see it to decide. So far, I haven't liked anything Star Trek that the TNG cast wasn't involved in.

I'll go see it, no doubt. I've never seen a Star Trek movie in the theaters, so I at least have that to look forward to.

Being blind, audio is very important to my 'viewing' pleasure. Without the familiar voices of characters I've known for years, it's just another sci-fi.
It may be a great film , with stunning acting...but it ain't Star Trek.
(IMO as always).

I sure hope it rocks.

There have been movies I've said I wanted to see in theater, but never made it out to the theater...but Star Trek is definitely one that I will see.

Yes...as a non-Heroes watcher all I can say is that the guy is a dead ringer in the costume.

This looks awesome... The reason all the next generation stuff was good is cause they cut the cheese and amped up the sci-fi....looks like they are about to cut the cheese and amp up the action this time....and as much as I hate to admit it I'm pretty excited about seeing the original star trek sans pixelated/fireworks explosions and stale sets/costumes.

...it also looked like the Q where involved from the trailer

I hope it rocks. I plan to see it in the theater and short of it stinking on ice (like the newer Star Wars movies) I plan to buy it on DVD.

It looks like they took out the scifi and inserted over the top action and special effects.

I hope not.

If it didn't have the name Star Trek attached to it, it would probably be awesome.

But because it does have the Trek name attached, its going to suck. Nothing about that trailer made me think 'Trek' about it. I was not feeling it at all.

I have time to watch all the original series, right? Because I haven't seen a single one of those, and I don't want to be totally lost watching this movie.
