People want "new" crap when they buy dvds and blue rays and other re release formats, why else would you buy a blue ray copy of star wars, scar face (admit it scar face is one crappy movie), ... ET, killer clowns from outer space or some similar movie filmed on what is now lesser than a camera I had on a cell phone 10 years ago?
For the extra garbage that people think they care about.

Play on George... play on | I agree with everything here except the Scarface and George part. |

Not so much with the Star Wars franchise. |

Cripes, I've seen Star Wars so many times that when there's something different about it, it's like putting on a old familiar pair of pants and finding a dollar in the pocket.

But when it's worse, it's like putting on an old pair of pants only to discover that they're too small, or there's a hole in the crotch. |

And superimposing Hayden's head on Sebastian Shaw's body at the end of Jedi is unforgivable, no matter how you try to rationalize it.
I am all into adding old footage, like Jabba in the Hangar with Solo in Episode 4, (even tho the "fix" of Han stepping *over* Jabba's tail was weak)...

| | | | I hate Lucas so much. Stop ****ing with perfection *******. I understand he wants to make some cash but seriously get a new idea. Also stop touching great stuff you once did. You screwed up Star Wars with your crappy prequels and you screwed up Indy with that damn crystal skull...
