Star Wars Clone Wars - worst movie ever!

Sign in to disble this ad
I sat through this garbage, I don't where to start. It seem Lucas wrote the horrendous dialogue, then there is the whole Jabba The Hutt's uncle who is made to be gay and character, voice modeled after Truman Capote.

An abomination of a movie!

The clone war series on Cartoon network was so good, I don't know what happened here? other than loosing two hours of my life I will never get back .

It seems to be written for 2 year olds, but then they go and cut off bounty hunters heads and put them on a stretcher???

I could barely sit through the previews, there's no way I'm paying money to see the whole movie. What galls me too is an interview with Lucas I saw not too long ago where the interviewer asked him what was the secret to the success of the Star Wars franchise, and he said "Oh, I just have a natural intuitive understanding of what people want, I just write stories and dialog that speak to people on a deep level, it's a natural talent I have..."

I haven't seen it yet (waiting for DVD)...but I have to admit after seeing the trailer, I'm already disappointed. It looks like a video game.

The others in the SW series were classics, and extreme amounts of work was done to make these timeless Epics...I truley think they just got lazy on this one...

Money Grab....shamefull!

What's next, cardboard cutouts like SouthPark?

Clearly, Lucas' target audience has shifted to the kiddos. Just watch Episodes I-III. That said, I'm sure my 4-year-old will enjoy "Clone Wars" tremendously.

Although this movie being terrible doesn't surprise me, terrible dialogue is part of the Star Wars franchise. Don't get me wrong, I love the original trilogy, but the acting and dialogue is generally pretty abysmal. Despite that, those original three films just work and are probably my favourite things to watch over and over.

I guess times change...but in a sense, he does know what people want, but you have to substitute "people" for "market".

Did you expect anything else after the stink-burger of episodes I-III?

The term "stink burger" is far too kind, IMO. I think the whole thing went to hell in a handbasket with the introduction of the Care Bears in the original trilogy.

Pretty much. Maybe I'm too old school, but nothing comes close to IV-VI.

As far as I'm concerned the best thing to come out of the Star Wars franchise since The Empire Strikes Back was the video game Knights of the Old Republic. The sequel wasn't bad either.

Force Unlimited looks great though, one of the main reasons I bought an Xbox 360.

Until they bring out the severed bounty hunter's heads on a stretcher!

Explain that to them.

The short series on Cartoon network was pretty good. the movie was nothing like it. Stiff animation as well. Horrible, like a cheap video game.

After Final Fantasy, this is utter rubbish in every way.

Shame

Same here. The footage at Comic Con looked great...I'll still go see it though.

The animation didnt bother me nearly as much as the Gay hutt (Not that there's anything wrong with that ) and the teen brat that kept calling Anakin "Skyguy". Just horrible.

I keep hearing Lucas trying to justify his horrible movies by saying they were made for kids. Utter and complete rubbish - episodes I-III are LOADED with political plotting and doublecrosses, the kind of stuff that kids won't have a clue how to follow. Hell, I had a hard time following it too. It was incredibly convoluted and not terribly well explained - how the hell is an 8 year old going to keep up with what's going on?

Just admit it, Lucas: they are TERRIBLE films.
