Who's with me? I'm not ashamed to admit it: I love station wagons. A lot of us grew up riding in them, and the nostalgia is there for sure. Plus they'll haul all your gear! I've had a few Subarus in the past, but right now this is my baby: 1970 Ford LTD Country Squire. Not my daily driver, but a sweet cruiser/hauler/project.

My very first car was an AMC hornet wagon. My third was a Ford Escort wagon. I've always been happiest with wagons, and I just made a Facebook post a few days ago as I am loking for a new one, but there just aren't enough high quality, economical (fuel and wallet) examples in newer model years. It seems it's only euro brands and Subaru still in the game.
LOVE wagons. I heard a rumor that the Chevy Cruze will have a wagon variant next model year. I just might buy one of those.

And yes, I just finished changing the Wisconsin plates to Iowa.

It had the third seat in the back, and my kids would always fight to see who would sit in the "wayback", as they called it. My boss at my old job used to call it an "urban assault vehicle"!
