Bought a four pack of Boddingtons and have been watching movies with the wife all night. When neighborhood kids started shooting fireworks, our dogs flipped out and barked a little. That was the big excitement for us tonight.
I stopped getting excited about NYE somewhere around college.

Stayed home, played with the cat, played my bass. I'm a little more interested in having tomorrow off.

Exar's business is on hold for now. I will still help previous customers.

The kids saw their first bonfire, that was party enough for me and to them it was super special. Beats going out, having too much to drink and spending all your money.

Last year I played at a NYE party (made three hundred bucks BTY). This year my wife and I stayed home and played video games with my daughter and my 4 yo grandson, had a great time! Hit the sack before midnight.

Happy New Year to all!
I haven't went out on NYE in over a decade. I spent last night alone with my wife watching the Twilight Zone marathon. Sober.

I went and saw Django during the day with my gf, then went out to a small party at a friends house. No driving for me. Crashed in the upstairs bedroom around 5am or so and got home a bit after noon.

Had my share of NYE craziness. I have also spent quite a few NYE 's getting drunk by myself and feeling sorry for myself over another wasted year.
Now, I get to spend the night with my wife and talk about the year and where we are headed for in the new one. We also did our usual tradition of dungeness crab for dinner and watching "A Night at the Opera" with the Marx Brothers. I still laugh out loud at that movie plus it has a lot of good memories attached to it.

My wife and I stayed home.

However, we had 23 people come join us. As has been our tradition for about 6-7 years, we throw a big martini party. It's always a blast.

There really isnt anything to get. Its just another reason to celebrate. The reason itself can be pretty arbitrary, so long as there is an excuse to get together with the people you like to be around.

Stayed home with wife and kids. No gig for first time in years. Had some fun, drank some champagne and went to bed around midnight. I didn't miss the -30 degree wind chill load out that night at all!
