I stopped getting excited about NYE somewhere around college. |

Happy New Year to all! | I haven't went out on NYE in over a decade. I spent last night alone with my wife watching the Twilight Zone marathon. Sober.

| | Just one more question | | Join Date: Aug 2011 Location: San Franciscco, CA | | | Had my share of NYE craziness. I have also spent quite a few NYE 's getting drunk by myself and feeling sorry for myself over another wasted year.
Now, I get to spend the night with my wife and talk about the year and where we are headed for in the new one. We also did our usual tradition of dungeness crab for dinner and watching "A Night at the Opera" with the Marx Brothers. I still laugh out loud at that movie plus it has a lot of good memories attached to it.

However, we had 23 people come join us. As has been our tradition for about 6-7 years, we throw a big martini party. It's always a blast. |

I don't "get it" | There really isnt anything to get. Its just another reason to celebrate. The reason itself can be pretty arbitrary, so long as there is an excuse to get together with the people you like to be around.

Had some fun, drank some champagne and went to bed around midnight. I didn't miss the -30 degree wind chill load out that night at all! | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
