I feel your pain. To go from Superbowl team to missing the playoffs in one season hurts and hurts bad. For the Bears we've been three years missing the playoffs since we went to the Big Game. I hope your team doesn't have the same kind of drought and I'm pretty sure they won't. |

There's a big step between highschool and college, and a bigger one between college and pro.

I mean, really, the kicker's just got to make the kicks. If he can't do it, get rid of the player, not the coach.
Now if a lot of kicks are getting blocked, then that might fall on the Special Teams coack, but the coach can't go out there and kick the field goals for him. |

The other thing that's got to really hurt Steelers fans is to miss the playoffs in a year where, frankly, beyond the top 2 or 3 teams the AFC was really, really weak. I remember after game 14 them showing a graphic and there were like 6 teams still "in the hunt" for the playoffs with 7-7 records and there might have even been a team in there with a losing record. That's just crazy. Like the OP said, 3 more wins for the Steelers this year and they're in the playoffs hands-down. Heck maybe even just 2 more wins.
Buck up, Steelers fans, you'll be back to double digit wins next season. They have the talent to do it.

It was funny. When the steelers were playing, they were talking about how it's not that often that a team wins the super bowl and then misses the playoffs, the commentator was like " it's been a while since that happened", they showed the graphic, and it was the steelers, a few years ago...

But anywho, going to the guy who was talking about the Bears earlier, If the Bear's have a repeat season next year, then he's gone. A lot of things didn't go our (the bears) way this year - cutler was getting settled in yet, which I think attributed greatly to his interception amount, loads of injuries, and yes, poor coaching decisions. But the person I think we need to replace first is Jerry Angelo. He's not really done anything productive since we got him, and has missed out on some big opportunities to pick up some big time players - finally trying to get Anquan Boldin last year, and actually picking up Jay Cutler. I'm seeing a much better season next year, and then Lovie has a chance to stay.
