That is a pretty good team that beat em, John. World Champs and all that...... |

I think we just watched the 2 best teams in the NFL this week, regardless of record. |

well, i said it before, this game would show the steeler's weaknesses. offensive line. the steeler d definitely kicked butt, despite the ridiculous penalty fest. giants with 1st and goal on the four and the best they can do is a fg is pretty epic, especially that late in the game.

We had that game won until the unforced error, then we just unraveled from there. Total momentum shift after the bad snap, and the Steelers played on their heels the rest of the game. Playing against a lesser team, we probably still would have won. Not the Giants, they're way too good to let that chance slip by them.

When you have two teams like that playing each other it all depends on where the "odd play" falls, and the blown long snap was it .... just happened to be the Giants that got the gift this time.
But the obvious can't be overlooked with either team. Shame on the Steelers for those last two offensive series, just a terrible performance. You can't let your QB get manhandled like that at the end of the game. And shame on the Giants, four times knocking at the door and settling for FG's instead of TD's, not to mention being stuffed at the goal line in the one series.
But it was a really good game .... bet there were some really sore bodies on both sides this morning IMO, they are the two best in the NFL right now .... |
