Agreed. Good to see that some athletes are still worth admiring. We usually only hear about the negative stuff.

Good to see that there are people speaking out on this when they could really get away with not saying anything at all.

Maybe would-be aggressors will pay more attention if they hear it from a pro athlete. (i.e. the fact that bullying sucks)

Yay, humanity!!

Glad to see also that he spoke out against the attitude that everyone gets bullied and the victims should just "man up". I agree with him that it smacks of barbarism. That's just blaming the victim and ignoring the true problem here, the bully.

Bullies know 1 thing, intimidation. Trying to be reasonable with one doesn't work, and tattling only makes it worse. Unfortunately we're conditioned to not retaliate with violence when we get bullied that no one knows what to do. Trying to talk to a bully to et him/her to understand that what s/he is doing hurts the other person's feelings is like telling some one that what they're doing is working.

You're trying to deal with a base action (bullying) with an enlightened one (i.e. anything but putting them square in their place).

I had some guys try to bully me in 8th grade. I wasn't exactly nerdy or a small weakling, but they were a good bit bigger. I kicked him square in the nuts. Never had a problem with him again.

Bullying sucks! Doesn't matter why. Kids have to learn too early that this world is full of ignorance and jerks.

Good guys like Nash and Brees need to overpower the "I'm better than you" classless people who allow kids to do this stuff.

Sorry but this stuff irks me to no end.

God Bless, Ray
