I didn't know anything about him cutting CDs and such - but I saw a good movie with him in it last night and decide to check him out on the IMDB and it said he is an accomplished bluesman too.

He's been touring as a musician for at least 10 years. The one bit I saw in a video made me cringe, but apparently it's not all bad.

Oh it's bad. One of the most awkward things I've ever witnessed was when he stepped out on stage and played with Toots and the Maytals. He started out full volume and by the end of the song I think his volume was completely turned down. He was playing his guitar with his thumb and kept strolling around stage wagging his pony tail and giving everyone these knowing winks like he was pulling something clever on you. It was awkward with a capital F U.
