Stirling Castle and Whiskey

So here's an OT I'll share for the whiskey drinkers out there (not me, I don't drink at all).

Standing on the walls of Stirling Castle you can see what looks like a acres and acres and acres of low buildings not too far away ( a mile maybe?). I think I was looking out from the front of the castle and the area was to my left IIRC.

My Scot buddy said it was a whiskey storage site and at any given moment, ONE FOURTH OF ALL THE WHISKEY IN THE WORLD was right there in those sheds. That was about 1992.

I, to this day, have no particular reason to doubt him, and if indeed true...think about it, and be amazed!

What do our Scot TB friends say? True?

PS: the one time I DID drink whiskey I got addled, told a girl she had a "Porn Face" and asked her to spend the night with me. No dice--bad move.

All the other remaining whiskey in the world, mostly in puked up form, is then sifted and drank by me.

.....what? Can't blame a guy for needing his fix.

If I remember correctly, this was brought up in the single malt scotch thread. The statement is actually that it's 1/4 of the world's scotch. However, I don't know how large the facility is, so it could also possibly house 1/4 of the world's whiskey. Though something tells me that he might have been referring to scotch whisky... blended stuff, like Johnnie Walker.
