Stock trading thread.

Hi everybody
I’m a total newb that wants to get into stock trading.
I would like to maybe start with a few small investments in some higher risk stuff that I could research and hopefully get a good start that way.
I should also mention that I’m starting out with about $500 dollars.
I also thought this could be a good place, if you’re interested to discus stocks with our fellow talkbassers.

I'm thinking about getting my feet wet in the world of stock trading down the road... most likely when things shape up for me financially. Anyhoo, I remember doing some research on the topic myself a while back and came across this thread:
