Stomach Problems

Sign in to disble this ad
As some may know, I had a pretty horrible groin injury and thankfully that has passed. I basically had some extreme trauma and he just said I had a testicular contusion. Along the way I started developing some stomach problems. They were initially there when I had the groin injury, but this whole stomach problem has continued. I went to the urologist a week after the ultrasound came out negative to ask if these stomach problems were related. He did an exam and said "No." So now I've gone to a general doctor and he says I may have gastritis. He thinks that perhaps I may have OD'd a bit on ibuprofen causing some havoc in my intestines. He prescribed me some medicine called Omeprazole in the hope of possibily fixing this problem. They are going to do some lab work with my blood and urine so hopefully all that turns out well. He also said I needed to get a abdominal ultrasound and to be honest, I don't want to take one. The reason being that, it will probably cost a similar amount to the testicular ultrasound that I had. My symptoms have included: stomach pain, constant audible noises coming from my stomach, changes in stool color, back pain (it has subdued, but there have been two mornings where I wake up and I'm like ), and sometimes I get a pain right under my right rib (gall bladder area). So far none of this pain has been so bad tat I have fallen down or have basically self destructed, but it has been constant. The pills, however, have been able to control my noisy stomach. Sorry for the long post, but I feel if I get advice/input from others who have actually had a similar problem it can help me out. I just hope these pills will control the problem so I can finally live normally. Thanks guys.

Absolutely not. I wish I could though so I can relieve myself of all this crap. I'd also like to mention that I have never had the urge to vomit during this stomach problem.

You need the ultrasound

The old sawbones is probably wondering if there is a problem with the gall bladder, and the ultrasound will go a long way toward answering that question. A gall stone in the bile duct will produce most of the symptoms you listed. DAMHIKT. Sounds like you are in good hands already. Just take care of your health first and your bank account second.

+1 to that. Get the ultrasound done and report back. That's an order!

ok so one month later and i still feel like poo. so i did an abdominal ultrasound, blood work, urinalysis, and a h pylori test and everything has been negative. the doctors are convinced that i dont have anything seriously wrong with me and they tell me that these tests are very reassuring that nothing is urgent. i really want to trust them and i mean the tests are negative by what could be wrong?!?!??!?! they think that everything has stemmed from a traumatic groin injury and that has lead to gatrisitis and a very minor case of colitis. i just feel doomed at times and want this to be over! my stomach is always gnawing away at me and it isn't like i only get this pain after greasy/fatty meals. my stools have reverted to a normalish color, rectal pain has gone down dramatically, tailbone pain has dissappeared, but i still have nausea, acid reflux, stomach pain, and a sense of fatigue. my eating habits have changed and i would think for the better but i still have this problem. they have ruled out appendicitis for sure because i mean i would be dead now anyways. it's already been about two months that i have had these problems although some symptoms have disappeared and some are reoccurring. what do you guys think is wrong or do you guys have any extra experience with crazy stomach problems?

I have problems with my stomach very similar to yours. Some mornings I can't talk because acid melts a bit of my throat due to reflux.

I do need to belch very offen.I was being made fun of by friends but thay stopped it as they understood something is wrong,I'm sick.

I'm a vegan so diet is not cousing anything bad but I have 3 serious problem problems: Smoke, beer & coffee.

1 month ago we though I was having a heart attack.I could barely breath and the pain on my chest was killing me.Doc suspected of heart and asked for an electro. The he said I should get a chest x-ray. Both the x-ray and electro was fine so he said its my reflux causing all the problems.Gave me antibiotics and told me to start ASAP!

The next day I didn't take the pills because I was going out with friends....to drink.

But,I'm sure of one thing, the problems rise with stress. During holidays I can drink 5 cups of coffee and 3 litres beer everyday,no sighn of reflux/other pains. During a stressful time, acid comes up during the day, when I'm standing. And the cramps get more and more often.

Your problems may be due to stress,if the docs say it all negative.I think we need shrinks.

I have to agree. I believe it's stress and anxiety, which have a nasty way of manifesting differently in each person.

just stay away from the things that irritate your stomach, and figure those out by trial and error.
and try not to get kicked in the nuts anymore

I don't know. I have IBS myself, and it's not quite that traumatic on me. I do have to watch what I eat, and especially how much I eat.
