Stoopid vista/cheap pc question....

I bought a pos acer desktop about a year ago, and the hard drive is shiz. It whines about constantly, and locks up. The problem is, with this cheap computer, it doesn't give you a windows disc with it....the entire deal is partitioned on the hard drive instead.

Now....I have a second (and better) hard drive already installed. My question is, without a disc....how can I load the partition with the OS onto the second drive, and make it the primary?

I'm glad prices have come down on PC's, but this is one PIA of a cost cutting measure for sure....and it seems the lemon rate has gone up as well.
