I saw the folllowing ad on craigslist, and I'm trying to make sense of it:

$620 per month plus utilities/internet. Which comes out to $20 each. Looking for a trumpet player. I'm a Jazz drummer. That's what works best for me. Locate a block from the A train in Washington Heights. You can practice all day and all night. Trumpet only please.

He wants to rent a space in his apartment to a trumpet player, because he enjoys playing with them as he is a jazz drummer. The apartment is located one block from the A train in the Washington Heights, for 620 $, and 20 $ each for utilities and interwebz.

Or he is a homosexual, and "trumpet playing" works best for him.

That is strange.

Trumpet is not exactly the quietest instrument. Pretty random.
All though throw in a bass player and you could have a pretty rad band.

I just thought the 'trumpet only' part was kind of odd. What about alto sax? It doesn't take up much more space than a trumpet would.

Maybe he's trying to cut down on juice box costs by having a roommate to supply the hi c's.

Wonderful killing two birds with one stone type of thinking. You need a trumpet player, and someone to share rent. Why not get that in one person? Only trouble is that the ad doesn't say if the trumpet playing or coming up with the rent money is most the important. You know how we musicians are about rent.
