a strange science/chemistry question

I have a kind of quirky and odd science question. The other day I was making a sandwich and while i was cutting my delicious avocado, I had a piece fall and bounce off my suede slipper i was wearing at the time and land on the floor. Now, when the avocado hit my slipper, it left a vibrant green mark. It has been a couple days and this avocado remnant is still very green. Now as any avocado aficionado such as myself knows, avocado oxidizes rapidly and turns brown. Now what is it about the avocado landing on the slipper that makes it not oxidize, and stay green? Yes, this is a rediculous question, but im no longer in school (had a bio minor) and dont have any professors to turn to for the answer, so im reaching out to you geeks!

The avocado remnant is in shock from being so close to your stinky feet.

Your slipper may have a waterproofing type agent....think scotch-guard. I would try smearing avocado on every shoe you have and timing the color change.

The only feasible solution.
