Strangely weird and surreally bizarro event..

This is something I just had to get out there and share to see if any one had something similar or at least as weird happen to them.

I just came back from a meeting about an upgrade the Web Infrastructure area is planning and we're trying to find unused database space to do some testing. At the meeting were: a chinese guy, an indian guy, a white gruesomely overweight guy, a transexual senior citizen and me. The indian and chinese guys had extremely difficult to understand accents and I found myself interpreting almost everything they said to the other 2 people. In the meantime I felt comfortably drowsy (no medicines weird foods consumed so far other than a granola bar and a cup of coffee). Suddenly about halfway through the meeting I felt like one of those time pieces that have a pivoting 'wire' with LEDs on the tip that rapidly move from left to right and give the impression of a holographic digital clock. Like I was being rapidly shaken (not stirred) left and right. I was trying to look at these people and keep my composture, but their faces seemed kind of blurred. That lasted for about 20 mins WHILE trying to interpret the accent-encrypted messages the indian and chinese guys were trying to convey.

I'm now back at my desk normally enjoying a reuben sandwich and fries.

Weird... ....wait, what was I saying?

That's pretty weird. I've felt really drowsy and weird before and things happen that I barely remember. The next day I'll feel like the last day didn't even happen.

The nods are a beautiful thing. I hear music when I'm nodding. Circus music funnily enough.

have had a similar experience when I have eaten little and had caffeine in a new situation. For me it was like tunnel vision and focusing on their words was difficult.

Yeah, sounds like blood sugar or a flashback. Cup of coffee and a granola bar, fast up, but weird and wooly down.

Maybe someone slipped you a mickey...
In all seriousness though, I get wierded out moments somedays. If I don't eat for long periods of time, my blood sugar gets all out of whack and I get what my grandma used to call "swimmy-headed."

hmmm, interesting hypothesis. I never thought I had any type of blood sugar issues. I'll have to get more data on that. I still feel strange about the event ...you know, like an out of body experience or something.

Those symptoms sound similar to what I get when my blood sugar drops too low. I get hypoglycemia, and when my blood sugar dips, I get dizziness, a weird, out-of-it feeling, and a rapid, racing heartbeat.

The fat guy was hungry and you looked like a delicious programmer. Cannibalism always messes with the vibe of a room

My wife has very similar experiences when her sugar is off .... it'd be wise to have a doc check you out. That type of event would be a total drag if you had been driving .....

edit: ... correction - Similar experiences except for the Chinese and Indian guys, or the trans-sexual senior, of course .... But she has the over-weight white guy (me) in her face all of the time .....

Yeah, I promised my wife to go for a check up a few months ago, so now it's a little bit more urgent.

Low blood sugar. I get that sometimes as well. Just grad a bowl of ice cream and you are set. After all, ice cream is a wonder drug.
