I have a tenor Uke and some light D'addarios .10s. Can I put the low or high four and tune it EADG? My guitarist said it will warp the neck because the tension will be too high and ukes dont have truss rods. But will it work? And which strings out of the 6 do I use?

And Maki, I'm a lazy person, and if I had more time to burn playing the uke then maybe I'd learn it but I'm still learning bass, just want another instrument I can use.

You think that the uke is competing with the bass. It's a different thing, but the things you learn still apply within the context of the bass. No knowledge is wasted in music. It might be some of the strumming styles and patterns, or perhaps the progressions, or something entirely different. Who know? That's the fun of it. |
