...back in the late 80's, I was flying "space available" (dad was a captain for a major airline), which typically was no big deal, you just show up at the gate and wait, right before they close the doors, they give you your choice of available seats and off you go...picked a bad day to travel from Atlanta to Orlando (Sunday afternoon, springtime), and got bumped from about a dozen flights, slept on the ground using my backpack as a pillow, caught the early flight the next day, had to take a shower and run straight to work too, since it was a Monday.

I was super terrified and never took advantage of the free flights.

If you had that hanging over your head, you could always check space available before the trip, and make sure to pick a flight you won't get bumped off of.

There are so many programs online you can watch though i am sure it wont be to bad, but that airport food prices are crazy high. |

I'm down to my last $20, because i had to bust out $50 cash for changing my flight.

I guess I'm just paranoid.

The worst part was, ironically, that the security checkpoint was really quick, so I got through any sort of interesting part of being here to spend more time sitting around
