No one in my family has great credit, so all of my co-signers have been rejected unfortunately :\. I need help with finding a student loan that doesn't require a co-signer with the best rates I can find. I don't want to pay until after college. Yes I know it's a lot of money, but it's that or no school |

Course.....you have to be in the Army for a couple of years....... |

There are several private lenders are available which offers International student loans without cosigner. Some of them are Sallie Mae, Wells Fargo, Bremen, etc. You can search for several others private lenders online. You need to fill FAFSA form for the approval of your loan amount. |

Student loans are the worst kind of debt.

Here's how students loans worked out for me, I took out about 80k (yeah holy ****) last loan was without a cosigner at 9% (ahh to be young and stupid)
Fast forward a few years, my payments are 900$ a month completely negating any extra money I get with my useless degree. Mind you it is useless my experience got be everywhere and my degree hasn't even been looked at by employers.
If you have to take out student loans don't go to school full time , start with community 2 years, then go part time as you can afford the classes.
Oh and Salle Mae likes to call you and your cosigner 8 times a day start 2 weeks before your payment is due demanding payment until you pay.
I repeat DO NOT TAKE OUT STUDENT LOANS
Take your time getting your degree it'll be worth it. |

Unless it's a degree that's in very high demand (engineering, science, medicine) AND you are really committed to finishing it, I recommend you don't borrow money. Go to a public school, go part-time, etc.
Lots of people take out huge loans to get degrees that aren't very valuable in the job market, or worse, get halfway through and then drop out. Remember that most student loans are not dischargeable in bankruptcy; you'll be stuck with it forever. Up to your eyeballs in debt is not a fun way to start life in your 20s. |

Seeing the amount of money that gets thrown about to get an education in the US, I don't think I could have survived!
