Girlfriend and I are going up to Savannah tomorrow. I know there's a ton of stuff to do, and we know pretty much to stay on River Street. But I need to find some good places to eat for lunch and dinner (that won't cost an arm and a leg).
And if anyone knows where I can pick up some Captain Michael's coffee, please share. My mom requested I bring her a bag.

Edit: Sorry, that was kind of rude of me. I should elaborate: Paula Deen's restaurant is a big tourist attraction, so I'd have to wait in a long line to get in there, not to mention its expensive. I'm looking for places that are in a college student's budget.

Don't , If you want to see the production of the most expensive guitars in the world. Don't go to paula deens,!! go to .mrswilkes dinning room. Real eating experience. Check their open times/hours
Or Mellow Mushroom, neither are really cheep though.
If you want cheep, Vinnie van go gos. its ok.

And yes, Georgia sweat is slightly more comfortable than Florida sweat, but its all still sweat.

Just walking down the boulevard was neat, but didn't get to spend as much time there as we would have liked.
Paula Deans, the guy above is right. Long wait, didn't have the time. |

But the town is laid out in squares with lots of courtyards. Walk around, you'll find something. I remember a little blues club in one of the squares, but who knows if it still exists? |

They know everything! Quote:

-Mike | Also in Maui, I looked up reviews for the Maui Brewing Co.'s brewpub. Most reviews said the food was subpar, but we decided to go anyways, if only for the beer that can't be gotten anywhere else. Turns out the foos their was pretty delicious, so I had to go post a review of my own.

Vic's on the River is a great restaurant and there are plenty of shops to walk around in. We did a private horse and carriage ride and on our last night there did a ghost tour, which was good fun.

Not that I have to worry about it now, but for my honeymoon I would like to stay in a historic city and just explore. Bed and breakfast kind of stuff.
And if I had money/time we would have done a carriage ride. We almost asked one of those bike carriages to take us back to the car, but they were all talking to each other and I figured it wasn't that far.
Anyway, we parked next to the SCAD shop and just walked around. Had lunch and Zunzi's, which was delicious. We got there right before the lunch rush, which was great. Then we pretty much just walked around, trying to find different places. Had dinner at Vinny Van Go Go's, which was good. Stayed away from River Street since I'm not really into touristy stuff, although I did go check out the WWII memorial. It was a fun trip.
