I got a kick ass phone for christmas last year... but I broke it at work in july because those jerks wouldn't give us flashlights, and i was using my phone as one...
anyways. the screen got smashed. it still worked, i just couldn't read anything.
and then we got text messaging so i started using my sisters old phone which barely holds a charge for a day.
now it won't charge.
so I'm off to go give ATT $100 or so dollars.
rat bastards. |

They were just cheap... |

And if you needed a flashlight - WHY didn't you get your own carry one? No sympathy here. I have two in my desk, and I almost never need them. Seems to me like you didn't take reasonable action yourself to provide tools you needed. If I wre the boss and you needed a flashlight, I'd have said: Get one. Carry it. Discussion over.
It amazes me how easy it is to blame someone else for our own lack of action or planning. A mini-mag lite with belt holster is about $12 and you'll have it for years.

Also Mike, you get a new phone when you renew your contract. But if it's not any time soon then yeah, just go on eBay or something and get a phone you like for cheap.
