Went to catch the World Cup game USA vs England.
This guy and girl were asking me the most stupid questions.
- So the world cup is every year?
- How many quarters are there in the game?
- Why don't they have time outs?
- Why don't they "contest" a play?
- Which one is USA?
- What do they have to do again? Kick the ball where?
- What happens if they tie?
- How many teams from USA are playing in the world cup?
At first I thought they were busting my nuts or they were drunk. But it was no joke.
Although the bartender was having the time of his life laughing at all those questions.
Patience is a big virtue I will never have. |

You should be happy someone want to learn about the sport via you and you should answer their questions. Otherwise, if no one gets interested in soccer in USA, the stereotypes and the ignorance will continue. Be a gentleman and answer their questions.

And 8/10 is incorrect, its 4/5.

Association Football, who's name in moden times has been shortened to Soccer. |

I love them and even more so now that the tele veiwers are complaining about the noise while watching the matches at home. Give me a break I wish I was in S. Africa watching the matches live. I am American and not a soccer big-shot but I had to get those horns are a momento for this World Cup.....GO USA ON FRIDAY..... |

I don't watch soccer, and never really have but I'm not that clueless.
Jeeze..

But... How many quarters are there in *anything* ??? I mean, they're called "quarters" so you can tell how many there are, right? | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
