Lovie Smith: Hurd drug arrest 'total surprise' - NFL News | FOX Sports on MSN
If he is guilty, he deserves 30 years just for sheer stupidity. I cannot imagine someone taking up space in college and then being in pro football, but being so uncreative that he cannot think of anything other than drug dealing to increase his wealth.

The same thing applies to Hurd, the Bears wide reciever and alleged kingpin wannabe. If he got into drugs because some pal from back suggested it, then he is a double dummy. The only way I might have any sympathy would be if the Feds sought him out and entrapped him. Even then, he could have simply told the agent to go to hell!

They may as well just substitute: "Since my mamma didn't raise me right ..."

Federal prosecutors say Hurd wanted to buy five to 10 kilograms of cocaine and 1,000 pounds of marijuana to distribute in Chicago. |

every time i try to get out,... | I wouldn't be surprised if this were very common, but it makes me sad that someone with genuine options made this choice. The reward could be very high, but the risk is social death. At least with legitimate investments the risk is just going broke.
The other thing is a young brother fits the profile, the moment she moves in that direction, law enforcement will be watching in way they might not for others. That is why falling into this trap is such a downer.

in my early days playing music, i saw guys getting signed and immediately investing in large drug deals instead of legit businesses. the reason i say they're sloppy is why would a public figure allow himself to be caught with their hands in the dirt?
never put clean money in the street and never bring dirty money out of the street. i hate when king-pins actually participate in a drug deal,... that's what grunts are for!!!
am i saying too much???
(in other words,... i would have NEVER been implimented)
