What course are you doing it in?

I've always had a reason to give a presentation?

Well the same here, this can be on anything we want and i can't think of a damn thing. A power point on some random research topic.
Then add a bunch of tables, images and garbage like that as filler.

Give that man a cookie!

To make it more "research-y" = "A history of the Electric Bass Guitar" (or "Notable Custom Bass Guitars" or some such)

Ahh right, you could be a smart arse and do a power point presentation on power point. But that would probably suck.

Be a right smart arse and do a presentation on why Mac OS's are better than Windows (not that i agree with that sentiment, but it would be funny).

The bass idea is good too, it also means you can fit something quite easily to the time scale you have to use

i thought about bringing in one of the presentations my co-workers make and having them sit through it.
50+pages, no bullets, no titles, no images just page after page stuffed with paragraphs of text.

All you need is one slide with a Mac on it.

I'm joking.

Do it on different kinds of windows and their architecture. And windows through history, starting back before when they didn't have glass.

It's free, uses less resources.

What else?

Do one on the proper use of Power Point Presentations. I actually have an example you can use if you want, although it was done almost 10 years ago from a teaching view point. The course was titled "Teaching with Modern Technology."
