I have The Hurt Locker incoming. I've heard it's supposed to be one of the best war movies of our times from my film nerd friends.

Stuff you can "watch instantly" -
Teeth - GREAT funny/somewhat disturbing movie. Warning - there are some graphic scenes.
+1 on OldBoy - it really is a good flick.
King of Kong - cool/funny documentary about 2 rival players trying to beat the world record on Donkey Kong Jr. It really pulls you in and makes you take sides.
Fido - The Zombie apocolypse has happened, but now they're mostly under control and people are keeping them as pets.
