What I like:

Graham Central Station
Jamiroquai
Jimi Hendrix
Justice
Les Claypool's various groups
Muse
Parliament

I'm kinda in the mood for some heavier stuff right now, along the lines of Tool or Coheed and Cambria.

RX Bandits
The Sound of Animals Fighting
The Receiving End of Sirens
The Mars Volta
Three (most similar to Coheed)
The Fall of Troy (the only "heavy" band on this list)

Not sure what kind of heavier stuff you are looking to get into since I don't consider Tool or Coheed particularly heavy. Maybe I can recommend some more stuff if you give more examples.

EDIT: Perhaps if you're into progressive stuff at all, Dream Theater's "Train of Thought" album could fit.

Also, just throwing this out there, but you could listen to Protest The Hero as well. That might be too heavy for you though based off of your list of bands.

Looking for heavy, check out Sleep, Dragonaut is an easy listen if you're trying to get into it.

Dream Theater and Darkwater are both really good.

If you like Tool you're probably ready for truly weird and eclectic metal. Start with The Melvins and branch off to their influences from there.
