Summer vs Fall

Sign in to disble this ad
For me, Fall by a mile. If it could be fall all year round, with some sunshine, I would be completely happy. I just love the overally vibe of fall much better than summer. Summer's too hot.

And here I am moving to Florida in a year.

In summer there is an outside chance that I might get to see the sun.

So, summer

Very true. In PA, it's insanely humid.

In Florida, 110 degree dry heat is equal to about 80 degree humdity in PA.

In Florida, even if it's extremely hot out, as soon as you go under shade you get cool, someplace like PA, even when you go under shade, you're still hot.

I grew up near Johnstown, PA.
I moved to Daytona Beach for university (ERAU).

If you think PA is bad... you're in for a treat, bro.
I like (and miss) the colors in fall in PA...

Being in South Florida, it won't finally cool off until Halloween. It has been hot down here and I wish I could escape to New England for a couple of days..................The payoff is being here during the Winter....................

It's pretty much the same weather year round here, so I guess seasons don't apply. I don't live in Saint Louis anymore, btw. We had seasons with a vengeance there.

Fall means that it is almost Winter.
Winter is great.

Summer means bikinis.
Bikinis are great.

Its not a zero-sum game, I'm afraid.

I like the summer vibe in Australia, but living in a tropical region means high temps and high levels of humidity. Some days / nights are a killer.

Although it's still very warm, Fall flowers are startring are to come out here. Spring is my favorite season, but Fall is beautiful. I love clear Fall days that have crisp mornings and warm evenings. My oldest daughter was born on a day like that.

Fall. It's when California really shines. Good surf. Santa Anas. Warm weather, and crossed up winter swells meeting summer swells.

Yeah The temperature is just right from late October to mid April in CA. Fall in AK is really nice too but its the winters I really live for there(yeah there are a few screws loose up there).

HAHAHAHAHA. You think it's more humid in PA than FL? You're in for a shock. Newsflash, the state is surrounded by water on 3 sides and it rains almost daily in the summer, making it very humid for the better half of the year. Most of the inhabited areas of South Florida in particular were once swamp before massive draining projects.

South Florida has a truly tropical climate. Compare to PA.

To answer your question, I much prefer fall, at least when I'm in the northern half of the state.

Hey, look at that! Jersey is cut into two zones! I always wondered why it got so hot right past the Jackson township line, then cooler again when I stepped back over it! Now I know!

Eh, that depends on your point of view.

I live in the tropics now, I much prefer 35 degrees (C) and 90% humidity, to the heat I got back home which was often 45 degrees and about.. 0 humidity.

Put your oven on pre-heat, wait a couple of minutes, then open the door with your face right in front of it and take a nice deep gulp of air. Thats what it feels like when you go out the front door, or get out the car.

Anyway.. What is fall...
