Super Bowl halftime: Beyonce vs. Puppy Bowl

I really have no interest in seeing an autotuned song and dance. For the first time, I'll switch over to Animal Planet at halftime to watch the Puppy Bowl. My eleven-year-old daughter is stoked!

Are there other options? Beavis & Butthead a few years ago was fun. If you're watching the Super Bowl and planning to watch something else at halftime, please elaborate!

I am definitely not watching the Super Bowl game. Might tune into Beyonce. SMOKING stuff.

Just try to play some of that stuff sometime. Great grooves, complex arrangements, etc. Heck of a lot better than the Who or some old, washed up band with just a couple of original players to me

And she can SING also. Very impressive young woman.

Yeah, not going to watch another overhyped Lip Sync. I think I would rather put in a VHS of Vail Johnson on the Arsenio show with the shaved up mullet and the zubaz pants hammering his Kubicki and dancing before ever watching Beyonce.....yeah, Vail Johnson is an awesome player, and it was very cool, but Arsenio and Vail both dancing on the sam screen was a bit odd.....Awesome bass playing on that clip though.

Ken, don't go around blowing everybody's preconceptions! I want to see if Divinity will have a Warwick or the beautiful SR5 I saw at a rehearsal clip.

You're right about that. I had to learn a couple of her songs for a cover gig last year, including "Countdown". Holy cow, it was work. Lots of syncopation. I'll be watching her at halftime.

That's what happens when you get the top songwriters to craft your albums.

Thank you! Just because an artist hasn't been around forever doesn't mean she can't be any good.

BTW, Beyonce just tore it up! To each his own and all, but I thought she did a great job.

It looked like Divinity had a single humbucker bass, it was black but I couldn't make out the brand. Did you all see someone fondle Beyonce's thigh when she was on her knees and close to the crowd? She was a pro and calmly
backed far enough away to kill the cheap thrill.
